Winchburgh is one of the UK’s most significant new town developments in a generation, led by Winchburgh Developments Ltd, with a focus on enhancing public transport for residents. BIG transformed its technical business case into a clear and compelling report, making a strong argument for a new train station. We also launched a coordinated campaign and microsite, making it easier for residents to contact their MSPs, generating over 1,000 messages and strengthening regional partnerships. This momentum helped reignite both political and community support, prompting the reconvening of a stakeholder group with ministerial involvement. Ongoing political engagement is keeping the issue firmly on the agenda.
